White Women Talking Truth
White Women Talking Truth: Racism, Sisterhood and Allyship
You’re invited to join the conversation. . . . .
Please join Allies for Black Women other leaders in a safe, welcoming and soul stretching space as we explore the realities of race and privilege in our lives. Everywhere we look we see or experience vitriol and violence, rising white nationalism, situations that break our hearts and test our capacity to have hope for the future. Each day we find ourselves wondering how we can make a difference, how do we use our voice, presence, privilege to cross the divide and strive for new forms of sisterhood and allyship.
None of us can take this journey alone. As white women we find ourselves in a system we both benefit from and that also seeks to limit us. How do we create new capacities for true sisterhood with other white women that will help each of us thrive? What might it look like to stand with black women, creating space to hear their voices, follow their leadership, celebrate their strengths?
Bring your questions, struggles, openness and join others who are on the path. Through panel discussion, small group work, shared resources, laughter and tears we speak truth and lean into new ways of listening, learning and leading.
