“This is going to be a tough couple of years, but I want you to remember that the road to progress has never been a straight one.”
~ Congressman Mike Thompson

"The march was one of 673 marches held around the world in solidarity with the Women’s March Washington – a movement seeking to send a message to the new White House administration that “women’s rights are human rights.”

Moving Forward

It’s time to roll up our sleeves.
Women’s March Napa Valley is working to translate the unity and love we experienced on Jan 21 into ACTION. We need your involvement and support to move us forward. We are currently organizing and prioritizing next steps: direct actions, meetings, rallies, and marches, and we need your help. The massive worldwide march turnout will not result in change unless we channel our energy into concrete action. Each action item needs a team for successful implementation, and everyone has a skill that we can use to move us forward. You can help in large and small ways. We will post volunteer opportunities on our Facebook page and on this site.

The Women's March Napa Valley is very proud of introduce The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble to Napa. Our main mission is to continue building bridges for Justice and Peace by hearing each others stories and committing ourselves to action base activism.

In this special special performance, audience members are invited to share personal stories of acts of resistance. The actors and musicians will play back your stories on the spot, incorporating music, movement, ritual and spoken improvisation. At the heart of this work is a profound respect for the power of personal story to build bridges between people and cultures.
